Finally! It’s April 25th, and things are beginning to bloom. A strange spring indeed, and I am really missing normal things. Hiking with friends, barbecues, music festivals, cheesy things like hugs. But the garden moves forward, the sun is warming, the air is clean, and the bees are making an appearance. Because this is Denver, we know this may be short lived, and likely winter will rear its head at least one last time. Last May, in 2019, we had a snowstorm after mothers day, which was nothing short of devastating! For now it’s nice to enjoy an emergence from winter, even though it may be temporary.
Here is one showy tulip from this week This is a lily flowered tuip called “West Point”, which has fun spiky yellow petals.
